Meet Dr. KCS Dlamini

Dr Khayalethu Dlamini, “Khaya” as he is commonly known, is a Urologist. He was born in and raised in Pietermaritzburg, KZN. He trained as an undergraduate at the University of Cape Town, where he graduated in 2014 with a Degree in Medicine and Surgery.

He commenced his internship at the Pietermaritzburg Hospital Complex where discovered his passion and aptitude for surgery. He then went on to do his Community Service in Mpumalanga at Bethal Provincial Hospital where he spent the year working in the General Surgery Unit, where he noted the sheer lack of support and expertise in managing Urological conditions in the public sector. This led him on a path to becoming a Specialist Urological Surgeon.

After landing at Olivedale casualty with excruciating pains before the December holidays,  Dr Dlamini was allocated to me to have my kidney stones (which I did not know I had) removed. I had 2 procedures done as all the stones could not be removed with one procedure. My experience was good,  almost painless,  well nothing compared to pre op. Dr Dlamini is very caring , made me feel very comfortable, explained the process clearly and provided information on kidney stones do's & don'ts. Excellent specialist, highly recommended.
